Insults over Social Media, any deadline for a lawsuit?

Hi,
is it necessary to meet a deadline, after i got insults over social media or can i report them even after a few months?

There's nothing to report and nothing to sue for.

Use a little common sense and just avoid and block that person.

Maybe stay off social media if you make people angry enough to insult you.

Legal action for what?

Insults aren't likely to be actionable.

Example:

"You're an idiot."

Taking me to court for that wouldn't get you a nickel.

PS: Didn't mean it. Just using it as an example.

Might be, but "insults" aren't likely to qualify.

Until you explain who said what to who, that's about all I can tell you.

Cyberbullying and harassment that constitutes a crime may only be prosecuted by a district attorney in criminal court. A civil wrong that would result in money damages would need to be addressed in civil court and would likely cost you more to prosecute than you'd receive. The Nevada State Government Stop Cyberbullying Information Pages should be more helpful as to what you can do to stop cyberbullying.
