If someone is charged with interference with custody, and has no criminal background, can the charge be lowered to a misdemeanor?

I think the charge of interference with custody is a misdemeanor. If he is facing child molestation I would not worry about interference of custody. In GA Agg child support is a MANDENTORY ten year sentence. Us country folks don't think child molestation is a good idea.

Yeah, I can see. I agree with you. On his paperwork or case file, whatever they have it down as a felony for interference with custody. Would they change that to a misdemeanor or would it remain a felony?

I'm not sure. I doubt it if they have some felonious activity by him. For example if he took a child that he has some custody rights to but did it against the visitation schedule and then molested that child I imagine it's an aggravating circumstance that would make the interference with custody into a felony.

Is this your friend or you?
