Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication International student.. in the event of a drug charge

so..

Im an international student at one of the major universities in BC.. Basically my question is this: I smoke a lot of mary jane, what could I expect to happen to my student-visa if I get busted with a substantial amount..?

You could expect to be asked to leave.

You would face criminal charges and deportation. After your arrest, immigration would put a hold on you if you are unfortunate……..you would then remain in jail until the end of your trial…on average 6months…. You would not even be able to cut a deal because the deal could send you back. If you plead guilty to a crime of moral turpitude, you are gone unless under the petite crime exception. So just stop or you would be on your way out.
