When I received my W-2 for 2007, my employer left out the last pay period worked 12-16-07 - 12-31-07. paydays are on the 1st and 16th. I always thought that you have to start 1-1 - 12-31. She did this on everyones W-2 form. When we asked about it she gave some lame answer that she's been doing it like that for 20 years and there is 2 ways you can do them. When I received my next check those 2 weeks were not included. in the year to date section When figuring my taxes I went by the form she gave me and then I did them again adding the two weeks that were left out and I should have received 150.00 more but did not get it. I think this is against laws. what do you think?

I think that you are wrong.

Nowhere in the law does it require employers to split pay periods so that your W-2 is for the period exactly between 1-1 and 12-31. You will never in your entire working life receive a W-2 that is for precisely those dates. The IRS is well aware that W-2's usually omit a few days from the end of the year and include a few days from the previous calendar year.
