I am under a six month conditional discharge for posession. I am 4 months in. I am graduating in approximately one month and I have an interview for an internship on Monday. When I am asked if I have ever been convicted of a crime, what can I honestly respond with? Is there any way to better my chances of getting hired?

Depends on your jurisdiction. In Canada, a conditional discharge is not a conviction. You can truthfully answer "no" if asked if you have been convicted. Other places, you might be considered to have been convicted until you have completed the terms of the discharge.
