hey there! we signed our year lease this past may and we did not have a problem with the hot water. but now that it is winter, our hot water only lasts for about 9 minutes. i spoke to the management of our apartment complex and he spoke to the plumbers and he said this is the best they can do. is this fair grounds to break a lease since it is me, my husband, and daughter, and it is hard when the hot water only lasts for 9 minutes?
thanks!

Try talking to them about repairing the problem or releasing you out of your lease. You can do that in writing via registered mail. You can also contact Management Company's corporate office. Talk to the manager to give you their number. You can also talk to the local renters concerns board......I can't remember the name but read your lease. There is some organization you can contact for complains and concerns. Each county has one. Try all these options before considering a law suit. You can file a grievance in some counties……….
