Is it harassment?

I'm dating a coworker's ex. Last weekend, she saw us at a store and followed us to the parking lot, yelling obscenities and calling me names. Is this harassment? Can I file a restraining order? How do I stop her from approaching me and spewing vulgarity?

You didn't bother to tell us what state this is in, but you could check with the courts where restraining orders are issued. They will tell you if you qualify.

I'm in California. When I picked up the restraining order packet from the civil court, the lady who gave me the packet wasn't sure when I asked her the same question. She recommended that I ask a lawyer.
