Every states they cant wait for the procedures and court cases to be over but is it really over??? Do you get a job after that???

Hi thank you for responding first of all it looks like where ever i leave a question or something no one gets back to me, so thank you!
What Im asking is if this shoplifting is gonna haunt you for the rest of your life?? yes the court case will come and go and what a relieve it will be(im awaiting my court day) but will i ever get a job again???
Thank you

It appears your concern is a criminal record and how it will impact future jobs. If that is the case then you need to ask your Attorney about diversion or the like. I am sorry your not getting replies the way you wish but we realize your worried and want answers soon as possible. We make every effort to get to questions as quickly as possible

Thank you for the response, i really appreciate it, yes my attorney did talk about a diversion plan but it will still be on my record. They say I can expunge it but that will only show that something was expunged from my record. Do I have to do that? That is a $1000 to do that. Is it something I can do myself or do i need an attorney for it?
Thanks again for all the input

In a typical Diversion program your case is "dismissed" once you complete program. A typical background check only searches for convictions. This then should not impact a job search that is only interested in convictions

Thank you so much. Yes he told me there should be no problem with me getting into a diversion program. First offense $100. I have to leave the country in about 3 weeks and he told me its fine I can do community service in the other country. Hope he is right,
I just want to really thank you for responding to me I was starting to get hopeless.
Thanks
