Is my HOA supported by LAW? or have they gone too far?

Thanks for hearing my question.
I own a home in a deed restricted community and my hoa is propossing an amendment that basically says "the association shall give 10 days notice by certified mail or regular mail to the owner defining the deficiencies (referring to lawn maintenance, trimming, overgrown hedges, rusty baskeball hoops, color of housing, sodding). If the deficiencies are not corrected by that date the association shall have the right to enter the property and remedy the deficiency AT MY EXPENSE?

My issue with this, first of all, is that it is my property right? I pay the mortgage and I should have the say on who walks on and off my Private Property Right?

What if whoever they hire, kills themselves on my property or injures someone, its my liability?

If I dont pay the outrageous fees they will assess to me, they will put a lien on my home ( and we all know someone is connected to this landscaper, most likely)

What can I do legally? Are they legally allowed to do this? Have they over stepped thier bounds?

Please Help !!! :)

You can participate in the HOA meetings, or next time you buy a home don't buy in a subdivision with an HOA. They are notorious for excesses. Your other questions are easy: Yes they are probably within the by-laws to do this; Yes, if someone on you property is mowing your lawn and hurts themselves it may be your liability; and YES they will put a lien on your home if you don't pay their fees.
