Is protective custody like a restraining order? And how does the restrainee vacate it

Generally, they are filed as temporary, pending a court hearing, where both parties can produce evidence and testimony. When the order is granted at that point it is for a specified period of time and terms are outlined. The preson requesting the order is free to return to court and request it be removed.

What if the court files the restraining order even if the victim does not want the restraining order in place, and althought the order may be for a period of a time can the restrainee always vacate or take off the restraining order at any time and under what conditions
