In New Yorki - -75 teenagers attended a sweet 16 party at the ice pavilian rental hall, rented by the birthday's girl mother.
15 of the teenagers broke into the ice rink portion thru a loosely chained door that 1 of the teenagers could sneak thru and unlock the ice rink doors to let the other boys in.
Inside they found the 2 zamboni's with the keys inside and hence started to drive them around the dry ice rink (it was covered in sand) for about 10 minutes before they were discovered.
3 teenagers were arrested on felony charges.
There was $80,000 damages to the rink pipes and zamboni's.
The 3 kids has to split the insurance deducatable of $33,000 and each pay $10,400.
Is the mom who rented the hall responsible for any of the damages, since she did not pay any liability and failure to properly supervise the 75 teenagers at the party?
How can I get any or all of the $10,400 dollars back.
If I am responsible for my child's damages, why isn't she responsible also to contribute a portion?
Is this a small claims court issue and can I take her to court??

This is not a small claims court case. You should consult with an attorney to see what your options are as far as what are the steps you can take to bring those responsible for liabilities and so forth. Hope this helps and good luck to you!

Just how old are these teenagers? Sixteen? Shouldn't they know better?

Why would you allow your child to attend a party of 75 with only one adult to supervise if you knew your child needed supervision in order to prevent felony damage to property?

If you sue her for the cost of the damage your son caused, be prepared for her to sue you for the cost of the party that he ruined, as well as any other costs that were incurred as a result of his actions, including attorney's fees.
