I just want to know if there is anything I can do about my husband (divorced now) letting me lay in a stroke for 33 hours before getting me medical attention?
The day of the stroke I was sitting at home with my little boy watching movies on a Sunday afternoon. When it happened it felt like my brain was being sucked down into my chest cavity but I was able to tell my little boy to go get his dad who was upstairs watching football. When he came downstairs he said WHAT? I told him I needed to go to the hospital, something was really wrong. I don't remember much after that except for things Ive been told. I was pretty much unconscious from then on. I know the next day he got up and went to work and got the kids off to school and I laid there in the same position, he came home from work, fed my kids and got them ready for bed and he went to bed too, leaving me again laying in the same position in the same chair. My mom lived next door and at 2am she said she woke up because she could hear me crying(I think it was some kind of mother daughter thing cos I don't think I was crying, I think I was in a coma) She found me in that chair, she yelled up to my husband but he couldn't hear her so (she was on oxygen) she had to take her oxygen off, climb upstairs to wake him and tell him to get me to the hospital. He took me to Eden hosp where they flew me by helicopter to Standford. I was unconscious for 2 more days there.
