I purschased a car on 11/22/14 and still have not recieved my tags 2/5/15. On 1/6/15 my 1st temp tag expired i was told by dealership to go to the DMV to get another one. I did and when i was there the DMV advise me that the information recieved on my car was incorrect. I called the dealership let them know what the DMV said she agrued with me saying she sent the right info and the DMV was wrong cause she was looking right at it and its all correct.I have followed up with the dealership serverl times but still no tag. Now the 2nd temp tag has expired and i cant drive the car. i spoke with the finacne company and they said they had two vin numbers on the paperwork and didnt know which was for my car. And advised me to return the car cause the paperwork was not correct this was on 2/3/15. And i would be free of this deal and they gave me 3 dealership that they use to go get another car. And was sorry for all that i had went through. And they were sure these dealerships wouldnt put me through this. I returned the car on 2/4/15 and got i great deal on a brand new car from a dealership. But now the bank has flipped on me cause i didnt go to the dealerships they refered me to BUY HERE Pay Here!!! with high miles. And now there saying although some paperwork was incorrect the contract is correct. So go back and get the car. there words "if you could follow directions when we told you to return the car, follow them now and go back and get it." The same car that still does not have a tag on it to drive. So how can i legally go get a car without a tag. The dealership on 2/3/15 offer to give me a temp tag. But thats illeagal DMV said you cant get another and if i get stopped i get in trouble. They also offered a dealers tag in which DMV said again is illeagal due to the fact im not a dealer nor do i work for one is this a breach of contracted?

It's a mess for sure. I'm surprised a finance company would tell you to take the car back. The finance company doesn't really have that kind of control and is separate from the dealer.
I would say your original contract is valid despite the tag problems, however the dealer apparently accepted your return. Since the dealer took it back it might be in your best interest to let them keep it at this point.
Did you ever make any payments toward the original vehicle?
