I need a bit of legal advice. My father's beloved uncle recently passed away...prior to his death he was placed in an assistant living facility. Under the greedy advice of my great uncle's niece (who works for an attorney) he was forcefully convinced to have all of his bountiful funds drained so he would qualify for medicare. Conveniently, the one collecting the funds was the niece. Obviously, this in unethical but is it illegal? The will was totally changed, stocks allocated, and money transferred...all under the "advisement" of the niece to the niece. I might add all of the paperwork and will changes were also prepared by the niece. My great uncle had dementia and I truly feel that he was taken advantage of! Is there anything that we can do at this point? ANYTHING?
