Is this legal?

I have a quick question. I was charged with misdomenor pos. of canabis, but when I went to court I was not placed under oath, I plead guilty and was placed on 1 yr. probation. I never signed anything, they told me they would mail me some papers to sign. Is this considered legal? Thanks.

Yes it was legal. You more than likely received a citation of some type and it still goes on your record. Did you have to pay a fine? Did anyone explain to you what probation means? Read the papers they send to you very carefully and follow the instructions. Take the probation very seriously. It is my understanding oaths are taken during trials. You did not have a "trial". If you plead guilty then there was no need for testimony to be given under oath. What is the problem with legality? Are you wondering whether you can get out of this summons because you didn't receive the paperwork? You can probably answer your own question in this regard... good luck to you.
