My jurisdiction is: pa,
:this is in regards to a matter my girlfriend is dealing with at her place of employment she works with the mentally challenged at what the company calls a day program where the clients do activities make crafts, and stuff like that, my girlfriend has brought to my attention that she is sick of her job and messing around with cleaning up after the clients. i asked her why and she replied that after she cleans the client after they urinate or deficate on themselves she has to hand wash their soiled cloths and i said whats wrong with that and she stated that she must wash the clothes off in the toilet! this was the first time that i heard of this, when she told me about it i became furious!! and where she works the higher ups told her that is the way to clean the soiled clothes so to date i contacted the board of health, the dept of welfare, osha, and the labor board. and now there is a internal investigation into this claim of washing cloths in a toilet that is in use daily by clients, and staff. also there are a couple known clients to have hepititus, and taburcalosis. i found out that they do have a washer, dryer, and sinks available to wash these clothes in but they refuse to allow my girlfriend and her fellow works use them for soiled clothes i dont understand why they cant just throw them in the washer or maybe put in a utility sink after all is said and done her company has called her into the office and told her she is now under investigation and that she is to leave and turn in her badge until the investigation is done now they are just retaliating against her for filing the complaint against them but i think she is protected under the whistleblower law is there a way she could now sue for being subjected to wash cloths in a toilet plus embarrassment, the harrassment, humliation, of being told to leave in front of her fellow workers
