I've taken my mother for a consultation with and Estate Planning attorney. They do not speak the same language, therefore suggested me to interpret. There was a verbal agreement between them to begin her estate plan. After arriving home, she changed her mind and would feel more comfortable with an attorney who speaks her language. I reminded her of the verbal agreement and she says she did not sign anything. I called to cancel at attorneys office and he stated he'd already put in 2 hours of his time. Though, it's been a couple of months and I'm getting billed for the full amount (no estate plan completed yet, just a draft). Is this enforceable? it is over $500.
