My jurisdiction is: Arizona

We have had issues with our landlord since the day we moved in. First it was a leak they took two weeks to fix. Reson being was that the company had given us the wrong contact information for maintenance issues and the property manager was not returning our phone calls. Then we couldn't get the water bill changed to our name because the city needed a signature from our landlord, but he wouldn't respond to them, so they shut off our water. Next was problems with our check, the property manager mixed up our check with someone else and wouldn't take our money. He admitted it was his fault and fixed it but it took two months. Now there is a mold issue. We contacted him on Nov. 26th telling him it was urgent. The mold is growing all over the back wall in the house, under the carpet, and into the bedroom. He contcated me today, by email, telling me I had to clean it with bleach. The lease does state it is our responsibility to pay for any sort of expense in cleaning mold. We have been told we should take it to the media, and I contacted the housing authority to see if they can help us. I just don't know if legally we can break our lease. With all the problems combined, do we have the "right"? The lease states that management will take care of issues in a timely manner. What constitutes as timely? I have sent a certified letter to the company asking them to break our lease with no reprecussions they have yet to respond.
