Okay, I won an auction on ebay about a week ago. It was for a camera and all of it's accessories. When I received the camera, it didn't have the charger or two of the batteries promised. I contacted the seller and he just said that he didn't know what was what and offered me a $50 refund. Great, each battery costs roughly $100 and the charger costs roughly $300. I asked him for a greater refund than $50 dollars, he has the audacity to say that now I'm just trying to take advantage of him, and that I'm just trying to use the camera for my photoshoot and then return it after. I had a photoshoot this past weekend, which I was planning on using this camera for, and I had to cancel because of course I couldn't charge the one battery he included. Now I just want my money back, what do I do if he refuses me a full refund, less the shipping charges. I plan on shipping the item back tomorrow, but I'm scared that he won't even refund my money and I'll be out $3250 and not even have a camera to show.

I'd tell the seller I'm filing a complaint to ebay and to paypal if you used paypal. I'd also put up a negative review of the seller. If this were me, I wouldn't ship him back the camera until I had an understanding of what will happen to your money. At the very least, I would want to settle for no less than the replacement cost of the charger and two batteries. Once the camera is gone, there is no leverage and no limitation of loss. There is no guarantee that sending it back, that the money will be easily returned.
