okay my girlfriend and I have worked together in a retail store for about a year together, i no longer work there. but i am aware of the nonsense that goes on in the store especially by our manager - who begged for the manager position when our original manager quit, she took over. instantly our crew of workers who have been there for over a year have dropped like flys, most being fired including myself. heres the catch, she openly admitted to other workers that she wanted 2 get rid of us or made it clear she didnt like us. any small slip up and you were gone without warning. i was an exception, i was a very hard worker and stood by her and actually was promoted to a supervisor position. after i felt i was being taking advantage of by working non stop on my own and being blamed for every mistake made i decided to look for another job. after several failed attempts 2 change work habits to create a better enviornment for everyone she realized i was getting ready 2 quit, instead of letting me quit she called loss prevention and told them i stole a drink and i was fired. i did not fight it because i new i techniqually did steal but she was the one who allowed us 2 take drinks off the self and pay later and sometimes we would forget but i took the fall for it . she didnt pay all the time either, but my point is she was out 2 get me after i was going 2 leave she needed 2 have the last laugh.
Now shes out 2 get my girlfriend, she was suposed 2 take my supervisor position she went through all the training and all, but then found out by an outside source that she wasnt getting the position and every1 knew besides her for a few months she was being lied to. obviously she was very upset and lost the little respect she had for her manager and was ready to quit, but the beauty advisor from the store offered her a position in her department, meaning she would no longer be part of the original retail part of the store and wouldnt work under the ungrateful manager.
so my girlfriend would be starting to do the transfer when we got back from vacation. BUT while on vacation we got a phone call from a fired co worker saying that she heard that everyone was being questioned about my girlfriend stealing a GPS system that was missing LAST CHRISTMAS 9 months ago. my girlfriend is very upset because she didnt take it but feels she is being blamed for it because the manager is trying 2 spite her because shes leaving her section. its obvious to every1 that she is out 2 get her because this happen 9 months ago when it supossidly went missing, but for it 2 be mentioned now by the loss prevention guy..while were on vacation away from the store so she cant defend herself? RIGHT AFTER my girlfriend made it clear she was going 2 transfer? the loss prevention guy claims they have evidence against her but i know as well as all the other workers she didnt steal it. we dont know whats going on just yet because we just got back, but if my girlfriend gets fired because of this immature manager falsely accusing her of stealing can we file a lawsuit? can they fire her without showing her this so called evidence? these guys seem 2 be following the managers wish 2 get rid of her because they are threatening other employees.
