Joint acct vs Indv acct w/Bene tax consequences upon death of primary account holder

Please tell me if there are different tax consequences for the secondary account holder on on joint account with right of survivorship verses being a beneficiary on an individual account when the primary holder dies.

Both the primary and beneficiaries live in Arizona.
