Joint Credit Liability

My ex and I had a joint store credit card in both our names.
We were each given our own cards.
He has spent over 1500$ on his.
Is there any way I can seperate myself from this debt, or take him to a small claims court to force it to be paid?

You first need to call the credit card copmany and have it closed, then you need to have it paid in full-- You can not sue him for it unless you pay for it-- If he pays it then you just need to make sure it is closed so he can not rack more on it
