On July 22 of 2001, I purchased six months of auto insurance coverage and was given documents and receipt stating so!, coverage lists from July 22 2001 to December 19 2001. Accident happend on Dec 7 2001!. In 2003 after learning of a Judgment against me. I contacted the company that I had gone through, and the Insurer informed me that the sales clerk that filed my papers made a clerical "error" and that I was not coverd for the full six months!(even though I had paid up front and in full, for a full six months coverage) and that they had sent something in the mail to let me know that they needed more money (not sure how much!), never received anything!.
Some how I was held responsible for the hole thing?. never went to any courts or even heard anything about the claim untill I was stopped in Mesa Az in 2003 for suspended tags and canceled plates!, and got tickets for those and for driving on a suspended license!.
I have been with out a drivers license ever sense (no! I do not drive anything), and as of Dec 29 2009, I have finaly got all the traffic tickets to be dismissed!.
The only thing left is the judgment for financial responsibility, which I am not willing to make payments for, "because that would be admitting fault or guilt!".

So is there any shred of hope, or am i just plane out of luck!

You need a lawyer. What you desire can be achieved. It is too complicated for you to do without benefit of counsel. Hire a lawyer ASAP and you can prevail. Insurance companies do not roll over and play dead. They will fight and so should you!

I would if I could afford to pay for one. My issue is, I have been out of work now for 18 months, and the goning issue in getting hired is not having a valid DL!.

And you are correct!, insurance companies will fight to "steal" every dime they can!

I know that if you spend enough money any case can be won!.

But what I needed to know is this I very winnable case or just a shot in the dark?

Why in the world have you waited nearly 9 years to address this?
I am not sure if you can take any action at all due to the length of time that has passed.

Back then, in 2001, you certainly had a strong argument.

gave up trying!

I tried several times on my own, put couldn't get anywhere!.
and after so many tries and not enough money to really go for it, I simply gave up out of shear frustration!.

I also figured that I didn't stand a chance against an insurance company.

Oh Well! I guess without enough money to spare ("0") I'm just screwed!.
