I will pass on your kind words. by the way he sobered up before having children so the kids have never seen that dark side of him. For that matter neither have I:yes:

I commend him for taking an affirmative step in fixing himself.
For some people this isn't hard, and others struggle with this all their lives.
Your guy has shown strength of character and intense perseverance in overcoming this obstacle.
I wish him much success in this battle.
