Jurisdiction question

I was cited for reckless driving for supposedly going more than 20 mph over the speed limit in VA. The state trooper listed the location of the offense as having occurred at the 101 mile marker on I-95. The county line between Hanover and Caroline counties falls at 101.8 mile on I-95. I am positive* that I was pulled over before the Hanover county line (i.e., in the first .8 of the 101 mile) in Caroline county, but the trooper sent me to Hanover county court. Is this grounds for dismissal of the case? It's in the wrong county and court system. Also, does anyone know if there's a free zone between counties -- such as if it's within a mile of the line, it can go to either court system?

Thanks in advance.

*There is a bridge after the 101.8 mile that I wouldn't have/didn't pull over on.

Q: Is this grounds for dismissal of the case?

A: No.

Thank you for the response. So this isn't the equivalent of a mistake that makes it invalid? If I ask for a dismissal based on the wrong jurisdiction, will I look stupid or is success just unlikely?

From what I gather from your post, you committed the offense in TWO jurisdictions.

Be thankful, then, that you did not get TWO tickets!
