I have been charged by information in Brevard County, Florida for a Grand Theft that actually occured in Chicago, Illinois. The issue is how can a Florida circuit court have any jurisdiction over an offense that occured in Illinois? Further, the Illinois jurisdiction waived extradition when I was arrested in Brevard County, Florida.

If things are as you state, they can't, and they don't!

Extradition can't be waived by the jurisdiction, only by the person subject to the charge.
In this case, that would be you.
You could waive extradition, which only means you agree to be taken back to the charging state to face the charge.

This sounds more like you've been charged by the feds, and not the state.
Are you sure it isn't a federal charge?
The feds often charge by information, only to indict after the fact.

How did you learn of this?
Have you been arrested?
Who notified you?
What was said exactly?

i have been trying to respond to you for 30 minutes, and my reply keeps getting rejected. I am trying to send you a copy of the "AMENDED INFORMATION" filed by the state, not the feds, as I know the difference, having been in both jurisdictions. I misused the word "waived" as it pretains to the extradition issue. The Illinois authorities declined to extradite me on the charge, and the florida jurisdiction charged me with a grand theft even though the offense occured in Illinois. How can I get the charging document to you?

I have been trying to send you a copy of the "AMENDED INFORMATION" and for some reason it is being rejected. How can I get the information to you?
