Okay, so 2.75 years ago, I was hired on at a company, worked by rear off, learned everything I could, knew the processes inside and out, trained Everyone that came through the door before I was even holding a position that was asked to train employees. I'm still one of the top persons to go to for advise and answers when it comes to the departments processes.
So much so that I was even honored by recieving not one bonus end of year check, but a second one only given out to a handful of employees for going above and beyond.
I also innovated many ideas, sped up many processes, and basically developed the department from the ground up.
My manager even came to me on a daily basis for technical advice, even though it was her job to know the same if not more than me. I even wrote her emails to her superiors on many occasions so that she sounded like she knew what she was talking about.
Recently there was some unrest in the department and I brought up issues from my coworkers and my own to my manager, who brushed them off, so I took the issues to her superior. They were very unresponsive and acted as if these concerns were trivial. (the concerns were of the manager who was speaking to other employees describing how she 'hated' me and a few other people and were essentially 'going to get them before they got her'.
Typical office politics, but I wanted a resolution that would bring her face to face with me so we could find out why it was turning to anger and backstabbing.)
I felt those concerns were fairly good concerns as it was bringing down the entire department.
Well just 1 week after these concerns were brought up and brushed off, I get called to HR, where they told me that they are cutting back jobs that were not needed. (I was the point person for our outsourcing department, handled the training of outsourcing partners, communications with them, and managed a team of employees stateside that monitored their work, to make sure it was up to par)
It just seems awfully fishy that myself being someone that always had an answer, would be let go, before someone making more than me, that doesn't even understand the ground up work that we do.
is there any case at all to any of this?
