Kid hit my bf's parked car

My boyfriend was over at my house and he parks in the street in front of my house. While we were inside this kid hit my boyfriends car and tore off the body kit and his mirror. Also the drivers side headlights and tail lights are broken now and he can't open the drivers side door. This guy keeps saying his insurance will cover it (I gave him some gratitude for staying). But the body kit was 3 grand and I got it for him so I'm a little mad. Will his insurance pay for the body kit, light, door, and mirror? And if not, what should we do?

Make a claim to the other driver's insurance company and find out. If they don't pay, perhaps your boyfriend can sue him for the cost of the repairs.
