Medical Malpractice knee issues

I had knee surgery in 08 again in 09 and since changed doctors when i got my records from my doctor i realized information is not correct like med they prescribed the flexion of my knee in general ther are 10 things that arent right including the fact that i have been getting treatment and being treated for arthritis when infact the real problem is I have arthrofibrosis which is in the records but i was never told until i switched doctors and he went over my records
The previous doctor wanted to do a total knee replacement cause the arthritis was so bad only to find out its not that bad and that could have made things a lot worse.
Is there some type of action i can take against the first doctor so this does not happen to another person.
I may not the healthiest person but my life has been ruined. I am unable to work, do the things with my kids i used to do, just walking around the store is a chore. If he would have told me i had arthrofibrosis i could have made more informed decisions learned about it anything to improve my life.

The previous doctor knew of my condition before my surgery in 09 and treated it like a normal surgery I have sinced learned there are things that need to be done and specialist for this problem. He took it upon himself to make that decision. If i would have done this in my career for my customer I would be in trouble I just want my life back and wonder what should i do.

Talk to a couple of local malpractice attorneys.
Or, there are many that advertise on TV nationally, but refer locally.
Usually a malpractice attorney will take a good case like yours on a contingency basis.

Your life isn't RUINED as you state. It will only be RUINED as you state if you allow it. Every day I battle with my disabilities. But I WIN the battle because I will never let my condition control my life. My pain level gets so bad that I could cry because I do so much still. Like right now I am typing this on my laptop off the coffee table while I am lying on the the couch. I have shovel two loads of dirt today for my buddy's yard. Took a rake and raked it level. All this by myself while he was at work. Just so you know.... I have a spinal cord injury, cut S-1 nerve injury, my left leg is dying... ~ So I know pain.... My doctors get soooo pissed at me because I refuse to give up and take it easy.

On your issue's did you get a 2nd opinion? It's like when your getting work on your car... always get a 2nd opinion. Everything that I have had done I have always got another doctor to look me over. I don't tell the doctor what the 1st doctor said..... I figure if it's as bad as the 1st doctor said then the 2nd doctor should see it as well. I only take all my films with me so the 2nd doctor to review them. Any way... don't ever let your condition control your life.....

thanks disabled vet some times i get down i never stop going I have seen the results of giving up I have recieved a second and third opinion my issues with the first doctor will be addressed as for my knee I am on the third doctor but do to forums like this i have realized there are doctors who deal with arthrofibrosis so now my new battle will be with the insurance company giving up is not an option my kids I won't have it. I just get angry with doctors who think the patient will never figure out that something is not right and except their fate i question everytrhing now fool me once I do keep all my records and showed them to my new doctor he is the one who suggested i may need to seek legal help to many inconsistencies in original doctors records

hello! it seems like there is a negligence on the side of the doctors. well there is no greater action you can do but to file a class action against them. Just always remember the value of taking legal action against anybody: "whenever you felt that your rights has been violated then act against it to bring it back or give justice to it".

Put on your big boy pants. My knees have been screwed for 27 years. I wear those knees supports from drug stores for months at a time. I don't waste to much time on my knees. I have so many many back and neck problems, the knees are a minor inconvenience. Did I mention I usually work 70 hour work weeks, even though I have been disabled for decades. You accomplish what you need to in this world or you sit around whining how unfair life is, waiting for an SSA check to buy food.
