I need to know if a landlord can break a agreement. Are agreement is from 8/07-8/08. He has people living with him and he wants them out of there, and wants them to live here. He said they are buying this place. Not sure if that's true. He told me we (me,my husband and 3 children)had to be out by 5/1/08. That is six weeks before school is out, and we will not be able to find another place we can afford in this county(county very expensive to live). I would have to change my kids school. Do I have to move. Please help.

So do I have to move?

It is not really a lease it says we will be living here from 8/07-8/08 and will pay so much rent. that is it. So do I have to move?I don't need to stay till 8/08 but at least till my kids are out of school.

Your LL may not have any grounds to break this lease. Ask him what he is going to do for you guys to compensate having to move again? You might want to research the landlord tenant laws in your state, but unless your LL is going to give you something in return for breaking your lease, I wouldn't budge.
