Landlord Breaking Lease

About six months ago my boyfriend and I went to a place that helps locate apartments/homes. We had a problem finding an apartment that would allow Chows. So the lady that helped us finally found one. We filled out our move-information stating that we had Bob the Chow and that he would be coming later. We couldn't afford the $500 pet deposit. This form is signed by a property employee. Now 6 months later we would like to pay for Bob and have him in our apartment. Now they are saying that there are breed restrictions again Chows. The only reason we are there because they allowed Chows. I am wondering since it is stated in our lease information, even though we never paid a deposit would this be a breach of contract on the landlords part?

Does your lease acknowledge you have this dog and are bringing it later? If not there is no breach
