Landlord charging me attorney fees for a eviction

my andlord tries to evict me and im still waiting for a hearing to go through. i have paid rent thus far and now hes charging me attorney fees for the process of eviction. does he have the right to do this???

Please help as I have tried numerous times to call him and have gotten no callbacks as of yet.

I do not know what to do or how to go about this.

Read your lease. Almost every lease that I have signed has said something about if the lawyer has to evict you or go to court for almost any reason, the tenant is responsible for lawyer fees....etc...
