Dear Sir/Madam,
My daughter is rent a room and i'm her co-signee and i'm helped her to pay the 1-month rent and 1/2 of 1 month deposit, and we agreed she will pay me back. She start to leave there since August 1,2009.
She is 18 years old, and resigned her job 3 weeks ago..
But my daughter want to stay on that room even though she don't have money to pay her rent.
The Landlord talk my daughter and me as well if she can not pay the rent in full this October 2009, he will ask the lawyer for our eviction. The Landlord give her grace period to pay until Oct. 5, but yesterday(10/5/09) she give only $200.00 and she still owe $195.00 dollars balance for October rent.Per rental agreement she need to pay $395.00 in every 1st day of the month, which is not happened.Landlord told me,anytime he will file eviction for not us paying the rent full amount.
And even the month of September she gave a hardtime to Landlord to pay her rent, she pay 2 installment which is not abide on rental agreement.
Luckily the Landlord is patient on her action, but this second time the Landlord will not tolerate her to pay in installment.
I try to speak with my daughter to get out from her room because she don't capacity to pay her rent, but she refused me.
I'm trying to help her to come back to our house and tell her she is not capable to taking care of herself in financial, but she refused it.
My purpose is to help my daughter as being her co-signee but in the end i will suffer the neglegence of my daughter.
My question is....how the co-signee like me be free from eviction.
Is there any way my name will void on the contract?
What will be my legal action in order to solve this problem?
