My landlord was recently arrested on federal drug charges and is currently in jail. The lease was signed by my ex husband who no longer lives here. Do i have any rights, options, etc?. I live in massachusetts.

You have the right to pay your rent on time. Paid in the usual manner that it has been paid in the past.

You have the right to move out of the dwelling.

You do not have the right to live in the unit rent free because the Landlord is in jail. Which is what I think you are doing.

You could take this as a opportunity and go to the jail where the landlord is being held and see if you could visit him and offer your help in exchange for a bit of time to regroup.

He may not like that idea or he may be very thankful. You just never know.

as a matter of fact i have been paying rent as required. my name is not on the lease so i dont know where i stand legally.

If your living in the dwelling you need to pay rent. Far as where you stand legally since we have not seen lease or are currently aware of your states laws on topic we cant say. Contact a Landlord/Tenant Attorney and ask him/her
