My question is we moved into this condo the first of January, and paid securtiy deposit and first month rent, paid February rent, was told by landlord that he is going into foreclosure, signed a lease for 12 months, do we still have to pay him the rent or should we keep putting the monthly rent into an account? Everyone is telling us we should not pay him, because he breech the contract. Is this true? And do I have any right to stay here until the lease is up in December? Thank you in advance......

Until the unit has actually gone through foreclosure, you still need to pay your rent or you may face eviction (and the eviction can end up haunting you on your credit report).

When You Say Gone Through Foreclosure Are You Talking Until The Redemption Is Up, Or Just When It Goes Into Foreclosure?
Thanks

You cannot avoid paying rent. Until the home is seize, lost etc its still owned by its original owner. In this case your Landlord likely. You owe rent to that person at specified time or you can face eviction. When the home changes hands and becomes banks or new owner you will then owe rent to that person or agency.
