Landlord locked us out

Two months ago, I was hired to manage an area business.
Almost from the start, there had been issues with the building owner not keeping the building up to par and my boss was covering a lot of these expenses thinking he and the building owner would get it all ironed out in rent/profit sharing.

About a week ago, the landlord was in a local tavern telling people that he was going to lock us out and take over the business, which he did. He did not give any notice and I'm guessing the way he went about it is totally illegal.

My boss doesn't want to do anything about his losses (at least not right now), but what about someone like me who is out of work due to this illegal maneuver? Do I have any recourse for my lost income?

No. You have no standing. You could be eligible for unemployment benefits. Other than that, you have no legal basis upon which you could bring a lawsuit.
