Landlord making "improvements" I don't want

Hello, I live in a large apartment complex with multiple buildings, all owned by one large company. They are currently in the process of screening in the balconies on all units. I don't necessarily want my balcony screened in as I live on the fourth floor and bugs are not an issue, and the screen will not allow any of my potted plants and veggies to survive (not enough light). I am wondering if there is any legal means of preventing them from doing this until our lease is up. They are using a 3rd party to install the screens and they would obviously have to come into our apartment (we have animals) and according to their notice, it will take a couple days to accomplish. Their notice gives a range of about a week that this is going to happen, not a specific day for our specific unit. Is there any way we can stop this? Also, if we can't stop this, they are required to give us a reasonable amount of notice, the typical 24 hrs. What happens if they give notice, but only for a range of dates, we can't lock our animals up everyday for at least a week not knowing whether or not they will actually be coming into our apartment each day. Am I legally allowed to require them to notify us of the actual day they will be coming into our apartment? Thanks for the advice!

I suggest you work with your landlord, or his management to accomplish the modifications.
If you resist the changes, or impede the progress you'll be asking how you were evicted.
Make your life easy, do as requested, cooperate, or your life will suddenly become very complicated, very fast!!!

Same answer you got at another website.

You have to cooperate or get evicted.

What do you usually do with your animals when nobody's home?

Do the same thing only in a smaller space that the workmen aren't going to be in.
