Please help. We live in a townhome owned by my step father. When I moved in, 2004, he never gave me a lease. Now he seems to walk in when ever he feels like it. He told me without the lease he has the right to do that?
Today he tells me he is selling the townhome. I again asked for a lease because I have animals and I dont want my rent to go up. He again has refused to give me lease. He came over 3 times today and each time used his key just to come in for no reason. I am concerned due to new owners telling me to get rid of my animals and my rent going up. The other renters have leases, but refuses to give me one? I told him I will put a chain lock on the door and he told me I cant do that?
