I am a nineteen year old girl who signed a 1 year lease with the devil two months ago.
We have a public washer and dryer that my neighbors take advantage of. One of the renters in my building even lets his ex wife come over and do laundry. I take my laundry to my mom's house out of convenience, so I rarely go to the basement. One day while checking out the basement, I noticed that there are only enough water heaters for each tenant, so out of curiosity, I traced the pipe from the washer... right back to my water tank!
I talked to my landlord about it and he told me I was being petty, and he said he didn't know what I expected him to do.
Recently, people have been doing at least one load of laundry a day and do laundry continuously on the weekends. Someone even left the laundry room sink on for several days [I wondered why I couldn't take a hot shower!!!] Between my first month's gas bill and my second month's, my bill has gone up FIFTY dollars! This injustice is cutting deeply into my funds. Can I prove that I deserve restitution? Ad how can I get him to stop bullying me?
