I stayed at my owners house for 8 days when he couldn't give house for rent on time as per agreement and then we moved to our house after 8 days
After 3 months(in between he used to enter my house without notifying as he has an extra key.), He was asking us that he lost pendant during the time you guys stayed in my home, we said no and he then asked us to check in our bags, then once my wife checked the bags we found one pendant and she got shocked and threw it from window and informed them that she can see something outside and asked them to check, they took the pendant and later on we ourselves agreed that we threw but we don't know how it came to us, then he told us like he raised some insurance recovery on it
and threatned us that they will use lie detectors it will hurt more, pain more, we can deport you and all, tell us exactly about the chains, we got scared as the pendant was found in our bag, and we said that we didn't do anything wrong and we want to close this issue and agreed and paid $2500 and made paper signed like no one should complain on this,
Now after 1 month after his mother-in-law left to india, he came to us and started asking that his mother-in-law lost a bangle and $500 cash, and now he want me to sign a document that no issues in doing investigation about this. And he mentioned in letter about the whole incident and he mentioned like we agreed that we have done the theft of chains and paid $2500 but we never agreed that even the letter we signed like they lost in our presence so we came to am agreement and paid the compensation of $2500.
He copied his attorney in the mail and asked me to check anything with his attorney on this.
Help me how to react on this?
