Landlord Towed Car

My landlord towed my car. When I inquired as to the reason, they told me that it was in my lease that they could do so..."unregistered, unauthorized or illegally parked vehicles will be towed at owners expense." My tags have expired but my car is registered with the city. Do they have the right to do that, based on the wording of the lease?

This is a good question. I honestly don't know. Technically you may be in the right. They probably won't give back your money because they've allowed a towing company to make money from you and they want their money. It could be complicated and good luck.
