Landlord versus owner

My sister and I are co-owners of an estate we inherited. She had her daughter move into the property and sign a renters agreement. I have never seen a copy of said agreement, but thinks because she is the 'landlord' and the agreement is with her, she doesn't have to give me access to the bank account that rent payments are going to and that she has full decision over the rental contract-one I have never seen. Since I am 50% owner of the estate, is this a legal contract and what should be my next course of action?

To paraphrase poorly the Bard, "Get thee to an attorney!"

Her rights are not superior to yours. She legally can't rent the property unless you agree.

I'd ask her to buy me out, through my attorney. If she refuses, a judge will order the property sold. This arrangement will not work. It fails to benefit you both!
