Landlord wants to move back into Rented home

Please help!

My landlord just called and stated they want us to move out because they want to move back in. We signed a year lease (we just moved Nov. 2008) - Can anyone tell me what my rights are as a tenant??

What are the rights of the owner to break a lease?? Thank you for your help.

Unless there is a clause for early termination he cant. See if he will offer you a "cash for keys" deal

He cannot just evict you. Ask him what he is willing to do to make up for it. He cannot expect you to move after 4 months and incur all the costs of moving. I agree, cash for keys, he'll need to sweeten the pot to get you to budge. in the meantime start googling the landlord tenant act in your state. I have a feeling your landlord does not have a clue what the laws say in your state so you might want to be prepared.
