Sir names on a lease : Married.....When should the wife name come first.... If at all?

LOL, these days the wife's name is often listed first on many legal documents, not just leases.
My wife and I do it regularly, just to chortle inside at the surprised look on the face(s) of the other party(ies) at such a request.

Legally, it doesn't matter which name appears first.

If your preference is for the wife's name before the husband's, simply ask.
Or, put her name before his.

The law takes no note of this, but you can request it.

When we have requested it, we never get push back.
