Landlord's Responsibility for Bed bugs in Phila?

I am a landlord of a single-family home in Philadelphia. The tenants recently informed me that they think they have bed bugs. There is no history of bed bugs at the property. However, the lease makes no reference to this situation. Whose responsibility is it to pay for the extermination?

Bedbugs are typically brought in by the renters; most commonly if they've purchased used mattresses and bedding material (hence the term "bed bugs").

Unless the lease (or the laws in your particular state) indicate otherwise, it's up the the folks who brought these into the rental unit to pay for getting them removed.
