landord charged with money laundering

A few months ago the DEA raided our landlord and charged him with money laundering and manufacturing of drugs and also came to our home to look around to see if our home was used for growing. a couple of months ago, the DEA or Feds i don't remember who it was came to our door and posted a sign saying that they were taking action to sieze the property, we are not sure when this is going to be. Not only do we believe this is a violation of our rights, it would be something else if he was actually a good landlord. it took him two months to get rid of the ants, we also have a window in one of the bedrooms that has been broken for months. the electric bill was insane when we first moved in due to the growing situation before we got here. My question is, what are our rights? We would like to leave. We also have been told that he could owe us money, and that we shouldn't be paying rent. Another question we have is if we stop paying rent how long legally do we have before we get evicted.
