lanlord towed my car and it got damaged

I was living in an apartment complex and had my car parked in my regular spot. I was moving out and was only usin my husbands car. when we arrived to collect some additional items, we noticed it had been towed. they finally agreed to pay for towing fees. when we retrieved the car, the headlight had been broken. Can I sue for the repair costs, since they took the towing into their hands and it was damaged in the process they requested have done??
