"Liker alleged the DNA evidence against his client was inconclusive and that the girl's parents should be considered suspects."

Here's an example of an attorney who would rather stress out the distraught parents of the murdered little girl (with absolute impunity because he's an attorney), rather than to look at things more realistically and defer making these kind of wild allegations.

I see an insanity plea in the works next...
