I work at WalMart and make less than 25,000, recently married, I have no children but wife has two daughters ages 4 and 7 and pregnant with our only child. When I filed for BK, my previous job had no problem deducting payments from paycheck. After changing jobs, Court dismissed and lawyer charged 75.00 to refile, WalMart never deducted from my pay and Court dismissed again, Had an appointment with lawyer yesterday, and because I work overnights got dates mixed up and missed my appointment, now lawyer wants half of total fee's to refile. My BK is for 9,000 in students loans. Scared ! What do I do ? Walter in Little Rock, Arkansas

Walter - student loans do not qualify for bankruptcy unless you fall under a set of very strict circumstances. Follow this link to see what they are.

Make sure you have an attorney who knows what s/he is doing before you disburse a significant fee and then end up disappointed when you find out that the results didn't pan out as you had expected. Hope this helps!
