My boyfriend and I live in a 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment with our friend. We just signed a new lease about 2 weeks ago through our apartment complex with him on the lease. He now claims he wants to move out, and has given us a 30 day notice verbally. I don't want to sign him off however because he leaves us high and dry. Is there anything he can do if we don't sign him off? Does he still have to pay if he is on the lease still? Can i legally not sign him off? He has no written agreement with us however just a full written lease through our complex managment.
